Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in an excellent game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the croupier, unlike most other poker games that gamblers play with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their mulla.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game pace, newcomers are able to take their time and plan while not needing to make quick decisions.
It’s also easier to participate in for a very long time with just a tiny bit of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards faces showing and the casino receives seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the casino’s.
